How Trump Told NFL Owners He Used The Anthem Issue To Manipulate His Dumb MAGA Base And Why That Admission Is Good For Colin Kaepernick’s Collusion Case

It looks like NFL owners have been bowing down to Donald Trump all along. According to the Wall Street Journal, numerous team owners said they had conversations with Trump to see how they would handle the national anthem protests where players kneeled to protest against racism and police brutality.

Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft are among two of the owners who talked to Trump about the anthem issue. The Texans’ openly racist owner Bob McNair also said that players kneeling were financially hurting teams. McNair said that players were “running the prison” after using their platform to address social issues.

NFL owners showed how scared they were of Trump last week when they approved new policies during the national anthem. Players are allowed to stay in the locker room during the national anthem but if they are seen kneeling on the field, they would be fined.

Owners admitting that they were seeking the approval of Trump does help Colin Kaepernick’s collusion case. It shows that teams were politically motivated to not sign him and they weren’t for football reasons. These owners even admitted that they said Kaepernick was worthy of being a starter last season too. It’ll be interesting to see what other measures they go to please Trump and their racist fans.
