After last season, it comes as no surprise that national anthem protests would be discussed at the NFL Spring Meetings taking place in Atlanta over the next two days.
In a private session, it has been proposed that the home team would decide whether or not teams would come out of the locker rooms for the anthem. Furthermore, if the teams do elect to come out to the field, kneeling teams could be hit with a 15-yard penalty.
Ironic that the “land of the free and the home of the brave” would openly and brazenly violate the First Amendment rights of its citizens, but I digress.
