Chris Webber and Jalen Rose are still having issues with one another per FTW USA Today, they can’t see eye to eye and this has been going on since their playing at Michigan in the 1990s.
Rose recently expressed how excited he was about Webber being an honorary captain at a Michigan football game later this year.
“I’m elated by this news. I’m not surprised by this news and, respectfully, it’s calculated, because he understands that he is a Hall of Fame-level player. And he has to turn around the thoughts of a lot of media members who didn’t select him. So, to me, I see this as the first step of him reigniting his Hall of Fame candidacy for public consumption.”
Webber didn’t appreciate the comments and recently was on Sway on the morning to explain what’s the issue between the two and also announcing he’s doing a documentary, writing a book and opens up on why he didn’t participate in the 30 for 30 documentary.
“When he broke that code, to — what I feel — further his career, that hurt me as a man. … To give them what they want and become one of them now, when you can always be yourself and hold your integrity, that really hurt me. We’re brothers so I love him, but he was on some (expletive).”
Rose responded today on Get Up, saying he doesn’t need to talk about Webber to further his career. It’s safe to say this friendship isn’t getting any better.
