Besides the fact it wasn’t her house or cars, I don’t see the crime.
A woman in South Florida has been charged with selling off four vehicles found at an empty home where she had been squatting while one of the homeowners was in hospice care.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Angela Sloan faces counts of grand theft, fraud, larceny and dealing in stolen property.
The Miami Herald reports that Sloan used one of the homeowner’s driver’s licenses titles to sell four vehicles for anywhere from $25 to $50 each.
Sloan was caught when one of the homeowners spotted his vehicles in the parking lot of the car business that had purchased them.
Ms. Sloan told cops she is just a businesswoman who was trying to make a profit. Also, she needed money for drugs, but I digress.
