Funk Flex has never been afraid to voice his opinion and state facts on who the best rappers in his hometown of NYC are. This is the case here as Cardi B proclaimed herself as the king of New York while appearing on Lil Yachty’s ‘Who Want The Smoke‘ record with Offset.
Flex took to Twitter to call out Cardi’s controversial statement.
“Hahaha! A below average rapper that doesn’t write could never be King or Queen of NY! #JustMyOpinion BIGGIE/JAYZ/NAS BUILT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THAT TITLE!”
Cardi quickly clapped back against Flex in a recently deleted Instagram post.
How a pregnant b***h got a old a** n***a soo press… I just said that on the song cause it rhymed and flow the same way n****as be rapping about cars and money they don’t got… But n***as will come at a b***h that’s pregnant and not come at Tekashi that will run up on him 100 deep! Pathetic.”
Considering the greats that have come out of New York like Jay Z, Nas and The Notorious B.I.G., you gotta make sure that you’re on their level. I’m not saying that Cardi isn’t great, but she needs to be in the game a little bit longer and carry on her current success. She is still winning regardless though.
