In addition to the Pelicans and Warriors, Dwight Howard is interested in returning to the Lakers, according to Sam Amick. "He’d like to play with LeBron [James]," Amick said on The HoopsHype Podcast. "That’s definitely on his radar." It's unclear if the interest is mutual.

A couple of things are at play here.
First, Dwight Howard would have to take short money and contract, which he might be willing to do if he accepts a buyout from Nets which is expected to happen.
The second thing is would he be welcome back by the Lakers?
The main issue his first go around with the Lakers was he meshed horribly with Kobe Bryant and Mike D’Antoni. Would it be better with LeBron and is there any hard feelings that Dwight left the Lakers after one year to sign with the Rockets?
The Lakers already have some weird chemistry going on, but Dwight is still a legit 16 and 12 guy who when motivated can be a rim protector and dominant rebounder. I believe the Lakers will discuss it and if Dwight tells them the things they want to hear, he might get a second chance.
