There’s a very awkward and very obvious storyline brewing in Las Vegas for USA Basketball minicamp.
Last week, the Spurs traded their disgruntled All-Star, Kawhi Leonard, to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for DeMar DeRozan.
The only thing was that Kawhi wanted to join LeBron and Big Baller Brand out in LA; while DeMar, on the other hand, was happy in Canada and just a year removed from signing a max deal with the Raptors.
To make matters worse for DeMar, he and Kyle Lowry had grown very close, both on and off the floor, during his stint with the Raptors.
Plus, Popovich is the Head Coach of USA Basketball.
So it wasn’t very surprising that Lowry felt some type of way when he addressed the media questions following his first USA Basketball practice, with DeMar DeRozan, but as non-teammates.
Flip the pages to see Kyle Lowry ducking and dodging all DeMar DeRozan related questions and addressing whether or not he has spoken to Kawhi Leonard at all since they became teammates, and awkward videos from USA practice.
