The rumor mill has been turning and churning like crazy lately around the Los Angeles Lakers franchise, but Rajon Rondo put an early stop to some of the drama.
Speaking with Second Spectrum Sports today, Rondo spoke positively of Lonzo Ball.
“He’s going to be a great player in this league to be so young. I didn’t have the media scrutiny that he’s facing every day, but I think he’s handling it extremely well.”
On the IQ of Ball:
“His IQ at 19 or 20 years old is one of the best that I’ve ever seen, and I love how unselfish he is. He wants the best for his teammates, and that’s one of the similarities that we have.”
Rondo stated that he can’t wait compete against the young core in practice (Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram) and “show them what it takes to be a pro and play at a high level.”
Rondo talks about the dichotomy of playing against and with Luke Walton and Lebron James. Hit the flip for the videos!
