TMZ caught up with Deontay Wilder in Los Angeles at the Airport as he prepares for his upcoming fight with Tyson Fury in November. Many boxing fans are still hoping that there is a chance that Wilder will take on UK boxer Anthony Joshua. But Wilder shut down those rumors quickly, explaining how tired he is of the lies from Joshua’s camp.
“These guys have lied so much (about) stuff it’s crazy,” Wilder said to TMZ. “Everyone knows who tried to make the fight, who really wanted to fight.” Joshua’s camp has shown they can stretch the truth. “He also said that him and Joshua signed the contract… when Eddie(Hurns) sent the form, Joshua’s name was not on the contract signed it was Eddie Hurns himself,” Wilder explained.
Wilder has mentioned that Joshua also ruined his name here in America, behind the mismanagement between himself and U.K. promoter Eddie Hurns when negotiating the Mega-fight previously. Wilder’s next opponent Tyson Fury has also voiced his disliking for Joshua’s mismanagement when negotiating as well. Wilder and Joshua will face off on November 17 in Las Vegas.
Wilder does not see this fight lasting the whole bout; “I really see this Fury fight going mid-rounds… definitely going to be a knockout.”
Wilder has shown he’ll put his money where his mouth is and Anthony Joshua might want to take notes. Flip the pages to view the interview and some of the best knockouts by all three of these fighters.
