They always say you have to watch who watches your money. Former Timberwolves and Celtics star, Kevin Garnett, can attest to that. He recently filed a lawsuit against his accountant saying that he allowed Charles Banks IV to steal $77 mil from him through the course of their dealings. To put that in perspective (not that anyone would ever scoff at losing that much money) KG made $326 mil in playing contracts throughout his career so Banks allegedly stole about 20% of his earnings. That’s a nice piece of change. If I have $100 and you take $5, we’re fighting. No telling what I’d do over $77 mil.
You may remember Banks name from a similar situation with Tim Duncan last year. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison for defrauding the star of millions. Seems like Mr. Banks has been making the rounds.
