The new ejection rule for late hits is under heavy scrutiny as it takes hold, but there is no debate about the late hit Cam Newton absorbed while sliding. After completing a slide following a short run, Cam Was hit late and in the head by Falcons Damontae Kazee. Kazee was ejected from the game, while Cam was evaluated for a concussion.
Twitter seemed to universally agree that Kazee’s hit on Cam Newton was dirty.
