With the Hell in a Cell PPV on the horizon, WWE announced today that the Mixed Match Challenge will begin with a new season on Tuesday, September 18 at 10pm ET that will be streamed live on Facebook Watch. Not only will this live stream be available to users in the United States, but WWE announced that the stream will also be available in countries such as Germany, Mexico, Australia, France, Indonesia, Philippines, Spain, Thailand and Vietnam.

“We’re thrilled to expand our strategic partnership with Facebook, which reflects our innovative approach to content distribution and fan engagement,” said Jayar Donlan, WWE Executive Vice President, Advanced Media via The Wrap. “Season 2 of Mixed Match Challenge will continue delivering live action-packed, family friendly entertainment our passionate fans are accustomed to while offering more opportunities for our fans to engage with WWE on Facebook.”
Announced via WWE’s website are the teams that will be participating in this season’s challenge. Representing Monday Night Raw will be the following teams: Bobby Lashley & Sasha Banks, Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss, Finn Balor & Bayley, Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox, and Kevin Owens & Natalya.
Representing the blue brand of SmackDown Live will be R-Truth & Carmella, AJ Styles & Charlotte Flair, Rusev & Lana, Jimmy Uso & Naomi, and the defending champions The Miz & Asuka.
New elements for season 2 include: 14 episodes, each 30 minutes in length; a round-robin elimination format; two matches in each show; and an interactive pre-show beginning at 9:50 pm ET. The season 2 finale will take place on Sunday, December 16 in San Jose California during WWE’s TLC pay-per-view event.
For those who will be attending the tournament live, the matches will begin following the conclusion of SmackDown Live in whichever cities SmackDown Live is in.
