Asked about decision to punt in overtime, Jerry Jones said that’s a time for risk taking, but says he’s not second guessing. Says better team tonight won, had hoped to sneak out with win.

Jason Garrett has always been a conservative coach, so no one was surprised he punted from the Texans 42 even though it was overtime and the strength of Cowboys is supposed to be the running game and offensive line.
Jerry Jones likes Jason Garrett because Garrett lets Jerry act like an assistant head coach.
Here was Garrett’s explanation.
“Yeah, it was a long one [yard],” the Cowboys coach told reporters. “You know, we had a third-and-2 and we didn’t make much on it and we just felt like at that point in the game, the way our defense was playing, the idea was to pin them down there. Chris did a great job with the punt. They got the ball on the 10-yard line and hopefully you make a stop and you win the game coming back the other way with a game-winning field goal.”
Eventually, Jones is going to have to fire him if he wants Cowboys to move forward.
