For boxing fans that were interested in a fight featuring Mike Garcia moving up to 147-pounds to face Errol Spence Jr. for the IBF title belt, unfortunately, it’s a wrap. For now anyway.
On Tuesday, Dan Rafael of ESPN reported that Mikey Garcia had come to an agreement with his IBF lightweight mandatory challenger Richard Commey of Ghana. Both sides now have 15 days to return a signed contract to the commission.
With Garcia set to square off with Commey, who does that leave for the top of the welterweight division?
