Jermain Taylor has been in so much trouble with the law it is hard to keep up with the arrests, but here is the latest.
Former middleweight boxing champion Jermain Taylor is back behind bars.
After posting $15,000 bond in a domestic battery case in August, Taylor was arrested Wednesday on accusations that he violated the conditions of his release, Pulaski County jail records show. He was booked in the jail at 10:23 a.m.
Taylor was arrested Aug. 29 on accusations that he knocked a woman unconscious multiple times and threatened to kill her while holding a knife at her throat. He was charged with third-degree domestic battery, first-degree terroristic threatening and aggravated assault on a family or household member.
Taylor has had numerous run-ins with the law in recent years. In August 2016, Taylor was given a suspended sentence of 19 years in three separate cases, two of which involved a gun. In January 2015, he was charged with aggravated assault after he fired shots during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade in Little Rock. In August 2014, he was charged with first-degree battery after police said he shot and wounded his cousin.
Sad state of affairs.
