Gather around kids, it’s time for another Twitter story.

Today’s tale involves rapper A Boogie With a Hoodie, his assistant Sal and a sneaker procurer with the Twitter handle @AkaElJefe who says he was conned out of 50 pairs of sneakers with a retail value of $10,000.

(El Jefe’s Twitter account is now private, but fret not, we have everything you need.)

Before you flip through the tweets, which include text message screenshots and photos, here is the story breakdown.

El Jefe says he was contacted by A Boogie’s assistant Sal to procure sneakers for not only Boogie but himself and A Boog’s mother. They all spoke on Facetime and he felt confident about doing the deal. Especially since they’d done business in the past with no problems. El Jefe goes on to say he procured all of the requested shoes and set off to Boog’s New Jersey home to deliver and collect payment.

That’s when things went wrong.

El Jefe says he attempted numerous time to collect payment and went so far as to set up a fake business deal under another identity to get the money. Did it work?

We can’t confirm or deny the truth to these allegations but it does make for an interesting read.
