There are at least 100 reasons why Edelman shouldn’t be in HOF, but one the media never speaks on is him being a cheater.
He owned up to the cheating while trying to explain he doesn’t know how it happened, but the fact he didn’t fight the suspension tells you all you need to know.
Here’s Edelman explaining how it will never happen again per USA Today.
“I can’t sit here and (due to) the league rules say what happened,” Edelman told NBC Sports in a story published Monday. “I’m not going down that road (of whether the suspension was fair). I served what I had to serve and I accept that. I know a lot of people were disappointed in me for it. I apologize. It’ll never happen again.”
“When (the suspension) happened, I had a strong corner behind me,” Edelman said. “My father and I kind of just sat back and said, ‘All right, we have a problem here. What’s this problem? Let’s make sure this never happens again. Let’s own up to it.”
Edelman was recovering from an ACL injury and I don’t even knock him from trying to get back as soon as possible to help the team.
He is a clutch playoff wide receiver and a solid pro, that is it and nothing wrong with that.
