Dorial Green-Beckham has had issues going all the way back to high school.
This is a cautionary tale, with that being said the sentence was a bit heavy-handed.
Former NFL wideout Dorial Green-Beckham will be spending ninety days in the county jail.
Green-Beckham was in court this morning facing a motion to revoke his probation stemming from a 2017 DWI sentence.
In the original sentencing, he was given a suspended imposition of sentence and two years of unsupervised probation. If Green-Beckham did not violate parole he would not serve jail time and could possibly have the charge removed from his record.
However, in December of 2018 Green-Beckham was arrested and held for possessing a controlled substance except for 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid and resisting arrest.
In court today the prosecution asked for Green-Beckham to be sentenced to ninety days in jail. The defense argued that the prosecution was being stricter with Green-Beckham than they are others in the same situation because he is locally famous.
The judge sided with the prosecution and sentenced Green-Beckham to the jail time.
He is a knucklehead, but going to jail for weed really doesn’t make sense these days.
