Kelli Tennant and her attorneys held a press conference.
Frankly, it was a bit odd, she stated that she didn’t want Walton to go to jail and had no plans of going to police even though she described a graphic attempt by Walton to rape her.
She said an apology from Walton would go a long way and said she waited five years to bring her lawsuit because she was scared.
Walton’s attorney was watching and had this to say.
“Yesterday’s press conference was a poorly staged attempt to portray the accuser as a viable spokesperson for an important movement,” attorney Mark Baute tells TMZ Sports.
“These claims are false and Luke’s innocence will be proven in court.”
“[Tennant’s] lawyers want to create a public circus to distract from their complete lack of evidence to support their outrageous claims. We will not try this case in the media or pay them a dime.”
There are some credibility issues after Ms. Tennant left his fiancee after he was in a motorcycle accident that cost him his leg.
Here are her quotes on why she left.
The former fiancee of a onetime UCLA offensive lineman who lost part of his left leg in a 2012 motorcycle accident testified Thursday that the pressures of being the man’s caretaker eventually led her to call off their wedding plans.
“It just became too much,” said Kelli Tennant, who was engaged to Amir “Nick” Ekbatani. “I’m trying to build my career at the same time I’m trying to keep this guy alive. I just couldn’t handle it myself anymore.”
“As much as I loved and cared about him, the transition from girlfriend and fiancée to caretaker was difficult. I had to say no to more job opportunities than I would have liked. I couldn’t travel or do events like I wanted to.”
The NBA and Kings are investigating.
