Michael Jordan knows a thing or two about comebacks.
After his first comeback he won three more NBA titles. The second comeback…didn’t go so well, even though he had his moments.
Much like the rest of the world, His Airness watched last Sunday as Tiger Woods won The Masters for the first time in 14 years.
Overcoming severe injury, self-inflicted scandal, and a new generation of golfing talent, Tiger Woods once again became a major champion.
Jordan, speaking with David Aldridge of The Athletic, said of Woods’ comeback,
“To me, it was the greatest comeback I’ve ever seen.”
That’s high praise from arguably the greatest athlete of all-time and basketball’s greatest player.
Only a select few have succeeded at the levels of Jordan and Woods, and even fewer have made the dramatic comebacks that both did to return to the top of their respective sports.
Jordan went on to further say,
“There were so many people that were doubting him…but for him to come back and be able to win again, it’s far tougher than anything I think anybody’s had to deal with.”
