Too many rappers snitch on themselves these days when it comes to legal issues and that is the case now for North Carolina rapper Walter Morell McKoy Jr, aka Bussdown. He’s facing life in prison after rapping on one of his songs about allegedly killing a man, according to The Robesonian. The song was called “Cookies” which was released in 2017. The lyrics that got him caught were “I rob a n***a for all of his chains and all of his weed/I bust his brain, I leave him stankin’ down in them trees.” He also said “I hit a n***a with a 16.”
Bussdown was convicted on May 15 for killing 21-year-old William Covington. He was murdered on March 31, 2016. Charges that Bussdown has for this case are guilty of first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, and discharging a firearm inside city limits. The shooting reportedly went down because of an argument about a missing gun.
Bussdown supposedly met with Covington on the day he was killed. They had a conversation inside a car and things went wrong fast as Bussdown fired the gun after the two were both trying to grab it. Covington ended up getting shot three times in the head.
A lot of rappers have the potential to be big but end up throwing their chances away all because they want to act tough because they caught a body. They shouldn’t be committing those murders in the first place. Flip the page for the Cookies music video.
