Spider-Man: Far From Home is really two movies in one.
Depending on what you like about superhero movies, this will either satisfy you or have you wishing there was more of one thing and less of the other.
The action part looks next level, and because the villain is Mysterio who the whole thing is illusions, it allowed the filmmakers to really play around with things. Very similar to how Dr. Strange did in his solo movie.
You really got some Into the Spider-Verse vibes throughout the action sequences, especially towards the last third of the movie.
The best part for me was the relationships and chemistry between the characters were outstanding. Jake Gyllenhaal gives a masterful performance as Mysterio and his relationship with Peter throughout is what holds the movie together.
While it can be a little distracting at times, Peter’s relationships with his classmates while on the trip helps you understand why being a Superhero as a teenager is much different than when you are an adult. Tom Holland and Zendaya are adorable together, even when everything is crashing down around.
If you want to read a little more about the actual movie which would be considered mild spoilers flip the page.
