New Orleans Pelicans Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin continues to overhaul his front office.
Former WNBA superstar Swin Cash has been hired by Griffin as Vice President of Basketball Operations and Team Development.
This according to ESPN’s Zach Lowe and Adrian Wojnarowski.
Cash played 15 years in the WNBA and was a former three-time WNBA champion. She also served as Director of Franchise Development for the WNBA’s New York Liberty.
Griffin continues to build a diverse front office that has already seen him hire Trajan Langdon as GM.
Cash worked with Griffin on NBA TV previously so his hiring of Cash is one of familiarity.
The Pelicans have had a busy offseason as they continue remake the front office while navigating Anthony Davis’ trade request.
Griffin’s hiring of Cash has been met with overwhelming positivity within the basketball community.
