The mystery woman who was spotted lounging on a yacht with NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony in a series of damning paparazzi photos is believed to be model and actress Sara Smiri.
When the images of them together first surfaced, the 35-year-old basketball player denied rumors that he was cheating on his wife La La Anthony, 36, claiming the woman in question was married and they were on a business trip with her husband.
However, three different gossip websites so far have identified the woman as 28-year-old Sara — and she is reportedly not married.
Sara has gone private on Instagram. One would think if she had nothing to hide she could have posted a pic of her husband and cleared everything up, but that hasn’t happened.
There is even more to the story.
The up-and-coming model, who is believed to be of Swedish and Moroccan heritage, made her Instagram account private overnight amid the speculation, leaving little information about herself aside from the fact she is followed by rapper Meek Mill.
According to the outlet, a source said she met Carmelo while in Paris, France. The former Houston Rockets star was in the City of Lights for the men’s shows at Paris Fashion Week and was seen attending the Berluti catwalk event last Friday.
Despite Carmelo’s vehement denials that he was cheating on his wife, Lala ‘is a wreck over it,’ a source told Page Six.
‘Even though they are still married they are still working on their marriage,’ the source claimed. ‘She has trust issues, and she does not trust him fully. She is currently in therapy.’
The Power actress fueled rumors of marital discord when she shared a cryptic photo of a bleeding heart being stabbed via Instagram before quickly deleting it.
This isn’t even mentioning how Melo’s mistress baby mama chimed in to call him a deadbeat dad.
