A year after Brian Christopher death Jerry Lawler has decided to sue the Tennessee sheriff department $3 million for his death.
According to TMZ, “Lawler says he was “promised” Brian would get proper treatment for his issues which is why Jerry decided to NOT pay the money to bail him out. Lawler feels betrayed, saying the Sheriff ultimately failed to provide Brian with ANY treatment.”
In the lawsuit, Lawler claims the jail was ill-prepared to handle a suicide attempt. When officers found Christopher had hung himself in the cell they only had scissors to set him free. Lawler also claims one of the officers saw Christopher with a towel over his head but decided to go on a garbage run instead of checking on him.
Lawler believes if the officer would check on Christopher and if the jail was properly prepared his son would still be alive.
