New York Giants
2019 Prediction: 4-12
I’ll say this in the nicest way possible, the Giants are a dumpster fire.
After trading away Odell Beckham Jr., Dave Gettleman followed up with the selection of Daniel Jones at #6 overall of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Many look at Gettleman destroying the Giants, with poor roster building early.
The Giants will continue to ride Eli Manning until they feel like Jones is ready to take the keys.
The Giants will contend for a top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and nothing more.
New York Jets
2019 Prediction: 8-8
The Jets could be a team to watch for this upcoming season.
Sam Darnold is in his second year, looking to improve on his up and down rookie year.
The addition of Le’Veon Bell has the potential to bring a dynamic element on offense the Jets haven’t seen in a while.
Jamal Adams returns to lead the defense as a leader on and off the field.
The Jets could push for a playoff spot this season, but a more realistic just below average to average season seems to be in the cards.
Oakland Raiders
2019 Prediction: 5-11
Chucky is ready to lead the Raidahs back into the AFC playoffs
The Raiders added a big time target in Antonio Brown in the offseason.
Derek Carr continues his stay as Raiders starting QB, looking to rebound from a below average 2018 season.
Tyrell Williams is an underrated signing the Raiders made. He’ll line up opposite Antonio Brown.
Jon Gruden is in his season year in his second stint as head coach of the Raiders. Providing a throwback approach and some amazing TV content.
The Raiders are in a tough spot, they could surprise and sneak into the playoffs.
But an average to below average season seems more likely.
Philadelphia Eagles
2019 Prediction: 13-3
The E-A-G-L-E-S are coming back to the rowdy Philly fans in 2019 with plenty expectations.
Carson Wentz returns after an injury filled, up and down 2018 season.
He has another new weapon on the outside in DeSean Jackson, who makes his return as an Eagle.
The Eagles should be the only competition for the Cowboys in the NFC East.
Expect them to bounce back and push for a playoff spot, maybe even a division title in 2019.
Pittsburgh Steelers
2019 Prediction: 7-9
The Steelers head into 2019 without Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. Juju Smith-Schuster is going to be looked on as the new #1 WR in the steel city.
Ben Roethlisberger will continue to QB the Steelers.
James Conner is looking at a permanent role as the Steelers’ starting running back.
Devin Bush, rookie from Michigan, catches my eye as a fast energetic LB the Steelers have needed for years.
I don’t expect the Steelers to contend for the AFC North in 2019. A playoff spot could fall into their lap, but I wouldn’t count on it.
San Francisco 49ers
2019 Prediction: 10-6
The 49ers are a team full of promise, but a lot of bust potential as well. After a season of hype was lost due to a Jimmy Garoppolo injury, the 49ers took 2018 as a lost season and looked ahead.
With Garoppolo now healthy, expect Kyle Shannahan to dial it up some more.
Allowing the 49ers to get to the playoffs for the first time since 2013.
Seattle Seahawks
2019 Prediction: 6-10
The Seahawks are led by Russell Wilson once again. As he eyes another great season in an otherwise disgustingly bland Seahawks offense.
Brian Schottenhimer needs to open up the offense more, or the Seahawks will be sitting on the couch for the 2019 playoffs.
The defense loses Frank Clark, but adds Ezekiel Ansah to keep the pass rush somewhat relevant.
I don’t expect the Seahawks to make the playoffs this season due to a packed NFC with improvement.
You never know though.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2019 Prediction: 5-11
Jameis Winston looks to survive his time in Tampa Bay with a successful critical 5th year.
Bruce Arians comes in as head coach, replacing Dirk Koetter, to fix Winston.
Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and the duo of Cameron Brate/OJ Howard make up the weapons for Winston in 2019.
The Bucs did end up losing Adam Humphries in free agency, but that won’t stop Winstonfrom having an abundance of weapons.
Still, the Bucs have holes on defense and their offensive line still needs a lot of work.
Tennessee Titans
2019 Prediction: 10-6
Marcus Mariota heads into a pivotal 5th season in Tennessee. With a new offense coordinator in place, Mariota will have to put on a show in 2019 to even receive contract extension consideration.
Derrick Henry comes back after a red hot end to 2018. In which he racked up 585 yards in the last 4 games alone.
Corey Davis will look to expand his role as the number one WR in this offense after an encouraging year 2.
Jurrell Casey and Kevin Byard return as the leaders of a Titans defense which was very stingy in regards to giving up points.
I expect the Titans to be much better in 2019, maybe even winning the division. Considering the Titans have a knack for winning against playoff teams in the regular season.
I would count on a push for a wild card spot.
Washington Redskins
2019 Prediction: 5-11
The Redskins are in the middle of a rebuild, especially after the selection of Dwayne Haskins in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Alex Smith won’t be playing this season, as he continues to recover from a gruesome leg injury.
The Redskins aren’t going to be contending for any type of playoff spot.
So not too much for the men in DC.
