Jake Fischer of Sports illustrated just broke news on a potential homecoming for New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony.
Fischer just reported free agent Carmelo Anthony is scrimmaging this morning with the Knicks at Columbia University on a 5-on-5 team scrimmage.
Carmelo played for the Knicks from 2011-2017 before making other short tenure stops in Oklahoma and Houston. Carmelo who has been eager to join a NBA franchise, has appeared on multiple shows stating he still wants to play the game, and is willing to contribute anyway necessary.
It remains to be seen if a franchise will roll the dice, and see what and if Melo still has anything in the tank.
In addition, Hasheem Thabeet was announced to scrimmage with the Knicks and Melo as well. Thabeet hasn’t played in the NBA since being waived by the Grizzlies during the 2014 season.
