6ix9ine was in court again today, this time to explain his kidnapping that occurred in 2018.
The culprits behind his alleged kidnapping? His former friend Anthony Ellison and Ellison’s friend known as Sha.
6ix9ine starts out explaining the kidnapping at its earliest details.
The kidnapping, Tekashi said, began at around 4 a.m. Ellison rammed a stolen car into a Chevy Tahoe driven by Tekashi’s driver, Jorge Rivera, at Atlantic Ave. and Bedford Ave., he testified.
“Damn, they caught me slipping, it’s over,” Tekashi said he thought to himself.
After losing Rivera, Ellison pulled the car over, Tekashi said. “Sha pinned me down on the floor by my hair and he just kept hitting me,” he said.
“Say you’re not Billy!” Ellison allegedly demanded, using slang for a Nine Trey Bloods member. Tekashi said it three times. They then threw him back in the car.
But Ellison eventually decided to let Tekashi live — if he gave up his jewelry. The successful rapper’s bling collection included a red presidential Rolex, Cuban Links bracelet, four diamond rings, a spinning 69 diamond chain, a chain of the Jigsaw character from the movie “Saw” and a $95,000 My Little Pony necklace with his own rainbow-colored hair.
But, as easy that whole exchange sounded, it didn’t go to plan at all.
They drove back to Tekashi’s home on Kingston Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Sha retrieved the jewelry stashed in a pink Minnie Mouse bag from the mother of the rapper’s daughter. But they didn’t let him out of the car, Tekashi said.
Instead, they drove for a few more blocks — and then Tekashi made a run for it near a housing project known as Smurf Village, fearing Ellison was going to shoot him in the back.
Tekashi jumped into the backseat of a random car at a nearby stop sign. The driver told him to get out, Tekashi recalled.
“Bro, I’m about to die. Just drive!” Tekashi said.
The driver complied — but then ended up directly behind Ellison’s stolen car. Ellison apparently did not notice Tekashi hiding in the car and drove away, the rapper said. He was dropped off at a nearby police precinct.
Tekashi could be cross examined by Ellison’s attorney, Deveraux Cannick, as soon as Thursday. Cannick has said Tekashi was a willing participant in the episode, which was staged to promote the rapper’s new single, “FEFE” with Nicki Minaj.
