Several Jamaican soccer players were hospitalized after they were stuck by lightning during a soccer match in Kingston.
In a game between Wolmer’s Boys School and Jamaica College, 5 players in total were struck by lighting and 2 had to be hospitalized. As you’ll see in the video, 2 players had an almost identical reaction to being struck, and it took the surrounding players and coaches to realize what had just happened.
The 2 players collapsed to the ground, grabbing at their heads and understandably in some great pain.
Jamaica College player Terrence Francis and Dwayne Allen of Wolmer’s were reportedly the most seriously injured and were taken to the University Hospital of the West Indies.

For one thing, I don’t know how a soccer match is played when there is some sort of presence of lightning in the area. Now I don’t know if the strikes were just out of the blue, but if you can see lightning within some sort of close distance to you, then the match should be stopped immediately.
So that incidents like this can never ever happen.
I sure hope those players are okay.
