A couple of weeks ago Adam Gase was accused of running a burner account on Twitter.
He was even asked about it today at his end of the year press conference, where he denied he has a burner account and lashed out at reporters. According to KFC of Barstool Sports, Gase was telling the truth, but the true person behind the account will shock you. Longtime NY Daily News Reporter Manish Mehta is being accused of being the person behind the account.
Manish and Gase have a contentious relationship and actually got into it today about Le’Veon Bell. Some say Gase has no beef with Bell, but feels like Manish tries to bait him into saying bad stuff about Bell (it worked in this case).
The reason KFC believes Manish runs the account is he accidentally posted something from the burner account that he meant to do from his real account. When I worked as a social media manager for a cable company I use to make this mistake all the time, posting BSO stuff to the company’s account and vice versa.
