Farmer has a record of 30-4-1, with 6 knockouts. All four of Farmer’s losses came early in his career with his last loss coming to Jose Pedraza in 2012.
Farmer fought twice in 2019 versus Jono Carroll and Guillaume Frenois. Both fights went the distance, and Farmer won both by unanimous decision.
Joseph Diaz Jr. has a record of 30-1 with 15 knockouts. His sole loss came to Gary Russel Jr. in 2018. Diaz has notable wins against Andrew Cancio and Rafael Rivera.
Jo Jo fought 3 times in 2019, starting the year with a unanimous decision win over Charles Huerta. He also had a 7th round stoppage after a completely one-sided fight versus Freddy Fonseca, who had never been stopped prior to this. He ended the year with a majority decision win over Jesus Cuadro.
With only 6 KOs, it seems unlikely that Farmer makes “easy work” of Diaz, although he does have both the height and reach advantage, and many believe, the skill advantage. Tune in January 30 to find out.
