In the latest chapter of the impending free agency of the greatest NFL player of all time, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly prepared to go all in on the chances to sign future Hall of Famer Tom Brady once free agency begins.
The Buccaneers could, and probably should be planning an exit strategy from former 1st overall pick Jameis Winston. Winston infamously became the first quarterback in NFL history to not only achieve 30 touchdowns, but also surrender 30 interceptions as well. That anomaly has the Buccaneers front office searching for greener pastures.
It’s unclear as to if the Buccaneers would offer a better situation to Tom Brady than his predecessor. The Buccaneers finished 3rd in the NFC South last season and have more holes than even the 6X champion could cover up. Tampa is in need for a feature running back, needs severe help on the offensive and defensive lines and the secondary leaves much to be desired as well. However, where the Buccaneers do appear set is in its receiving corps that saw both Mike Evans and Chris Goodwin eclipse 1000 yards. Also the team bolsters good depth at tight end as with both former 1st round pick OJ Howard and Cameron Brate.
Whether Tom Brady would be interested in taking his talents to south Florida is unknown, but whats clear is that he will have his choice of nearly a 3rd of the entire NFL to choose from.
