ESPN has been focusing a lot on the trauma that NFL Draftees have been through in their lives. While some of those stories are supposed to be uplifting on how they were able to overcome, what they did with Tee Higgins was over the line.
Speaking on someone’s drug addiction is a very personal thing and something that person has to struggle with every single day.
There is no reason for them to highlight that while speaking about him being picked by Bengals.
It was low hanging fruit and they should apologize for it.
Frankly, it was disgusting. Also I really hope they cleared with the prospects to talk about some of the things they have discussed because I am sure some of them would have wanted to keep that private.
It should be noted that ESPN made sure their people wouldn’t speak about Nick Bosa and his white supremacists, racist and MAGA Tweets during last year’s draft.
