If you are a white there is a good chance you can kill an unarmed black man in cold blood and get away with it.
That is exactly what was going to happen to Travis McMichael who murdered Ahmaud Arbery. Initially he wasn’t going to be charged by the cops and the reasons why won’t be surprising. Before the video came out this is how the DA described it.
25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery was jogging in a quiet suburban neighborhood near his home in Brunswick, Georgia back in February when he was pursued, shot, and killed by a father-son duo who suspected him of committing robberies in the area.
However, months later, a prosecutor said the pursuers were justified in their actions because of Georgia’s citizen’s arrest law, and they will not be facing any charges for the time being.
Like most white people and cops in these situations they claimed Arbery was the aggressor, this was all proven to be a lie. The video clearly shows the Arbery trying to mind his business when McMichael pulls a shotgun out on him.
I ask you this question.
If someone pulls a shotgun out on you for no reason at all who is the person who should be protected by the stand your ground laws. The person who pulls out the weapon or the person who the weapon is aimed at?
Of course, when you have the right complexion for protection they can bend the laws however the see fit.

Arbery’s death is being referred to as a modern-day lynching, as he was unarmed when he was gunned down in Brunswick, GA on February 23 by a white citizen named Travis McMichael … who has not been arrested or charged. He also happens to be the son of a former district attorney investigator.
There was mention of a video in the police report, and Roger Barnhill, who received the case after Brunswick D.A. Jackie Johnson recused herself, mentioned seeing a video that convinced him criminal charges weren’t warranted. He later recused himself following a request from Arbery’s family after the learned Barnhill’s son worked in the Brunswick DA’s office with Greg McMichael.
Cops and DAs always protect each other.
If there was no video this case would have been buried. The cops had the video the whole time and knew it was murder, but didn’t care. The sad thing is they will still probably get off because in Trump’s America he calls these type of criminals “Warriors”.
