15-year-old Jenessa Thompson life flashed before her eyes as the Cyril, Oklahoma native survived a goal post-injury to the head.
The goal post fell on Thompson’s head during a photo with her cheerleaders.
WDNT reported “As of Monday night, Jenessa Thompson’s grandparents said she is awake, talking and gave a thumbs up. However, the family said the incident could have been much worse.”
Grandma Debbie Thompson made statements on how she thought her grand daughter shouldn’t have made it.
“She shouldn’t have survived that severe a blow to the head but she made it. There were so many people that rushed to the football field and every one of them was praying hard. The cheerleaders didn’t fall apart when it happened, they jumped into action and lifted that massive goal post off of Jenessa head.”
