The American justice system has been a reason for a lot of innocent men and women being locked up behind bars. But because of the unjust and unfair people that run it, those same wrongly jailed men and women don’t receive the justice they deserve.
This time is no different, but there’s an upside in this case.
The man that suffered from the harshness of the system, is being freed, and he’s now back to living a normal life.
Walter Forbes was falsely convicted of murder and arson in 1983, after a man he had a prior altercation with, was killed in a house fire that was set on purpose. Police had testimony from a witness, who said she saw Forbes and 2 other men set the fire that killed the victim.
But many years later, that same witness came forward and admitted that her testimony was a lie.
