Jeremy Lamb is a streaky shooter with an unorthodox iso game settling for mid-range floaters. Since his ACL tear in his left knee, Lamb has been on a mission to return at full strength as a valuable scoring option under Indiana Pacers head coach Nate Bjorkgren.
Lamb spoke with BSO about his rehab process and what Bjorgren support has meant to him.
“He’s been great. I feel like he’s a great communicator. He always tells me give it your all but make sure you tell me if something doesn’t feel right. Just stay positive and know that I’ll be back on the court sooner than later.”
The relationship Bjorkgren and Lamb have is predicated on recovery and encouragement. Lamb mentioned the advice Bjorkgren gave him even though he’s been anxious to return during training camp.
“I’m on the back end right now…you know he still encourages me to shoot the ball, take care of your body, can’t wait to have you back and keep being positive so that’s been a big help.”
Lamb averaged 12.5 points per game and shot 83.6 percent from the free-throw line in 46 games last season.
