Around this time of year, we usually see the high school football season wind down by way of the state playoffs and state title games.
Millions of high school kids across the country will see if their hard work paid off and will either result in a glorious piece of hardware and lifelong memories. Or a long night filled with despair and sadness as they watch another team live out the same dream they had their selves.
That battle will be left on the field with the utmost amount of respect and dedication that you can find.
What you don’t want to see on the football field is a player losing their composure, especially taking it a step further by putting their hands on someone else on the field.
That’s exactly what happened in Texas last night, when a player violently shoved a referee to the ground, injuring him in the process. The player in question didn’t get off with just a simple ejection though, he got handed a pretty serious criminal charge as well.
