What Isiah Thomas feels about the great Michael Jordan, we can agree the modern day Thomas is Paul Pierce with his feelings about LeBron James.
During an episode on ESPN’s The Jump, Pierce praised Giannis Antetokounmpo after he signed a five-year $228 million contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Like Antetokounmpo, Pierce was drafted by his legendary historical franchise the Boston Celtics and helped deliver their 17th NBA championship in 2008 against the late Kobe Bryant and Los Angeles Lakers.
Everyone can’t be a Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce, Michael Jordan or Tim Duncan delivering championships without wanting to team up with other superstars. Who knows if franchise players like Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard or Devin Booker will deliver a title to their teams?
It’s okay to cry Pierce. Everyone would take Kevin Durant and James before him without mentioning Pierce in the top 25 small forwards of all-time.
Not only Pierce didn’t get the farewell tour like Bryant…he still suffers from not getting the best of James during the Miami Heat’s Big three era.
