The Indiana Pacers are ready to take care of business on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
In their last match, the Pacers implemented the box-and-one defense holding Stephen Curry to 20 points on 38 percent shooting. Curry also shot 3-8 from the three-point line with the Pacers winning 104-95.
Pacers coach Nate Bjorkgren spoke with media members on Saturday about their approach with multiple days to rest.
“We’ve come off a couple games there where the schedule was very…very busy. Just like the rest of the league is having,” Bjorkgren said, via Pacers.com.
We have some days here to manage our players. To manage them physically and mentally and also at the same time to take those practices and use them to our advantage to stay sharp.”
Myles Turner also stated how the team is locked for their match against the Warriors despite the delays due to postponed games.
“We’re at the point of the season where we expected for something like this to happen.”
The Pacers are prepared and without their two best scorers, another challenge arises from the west. Stephen Curry will look to bounce back from a tough 102-100 Warriors loss on Saturday night to the Charlotte Hornets.
