The Texans signed Tyrod Taylor and drafted Stanford QB David Mills who some believe has first-round talent, but fell in the draft because of injuries.
It certainly appears that the Texans are making moves with the plan that Watson won’t be available to them.
Here is what Roger Goodell had to say about the situation.
“We’re obviously following that and looking at that ourselves,” Goodell said. “There are important steps that we will be taking as part of out personal conduct policy. When we get to that point we will certainly make a decision.”
Adam Schefter is now saying his league sources are telling him it is highly likely that Watson will miss the entire 2021 season if he takes all 22 cases to trial.
This is why if Watson wants to play he is going to have to settle the cases. Even if he is not guilty, because these cases likely won’t go to trial until 2022 and the chances of him winning all 22 cases are slim and none in a civil court.
