Sports talk show host Dan Dakich is no stranger to controversy.
He’s deleted his Twitter account multiple times after being accused of being misogynistic and going on a big rant about the firing of Scottsburg High coach saying the town was full pop meth, aids, and needles, calling a player a meth head, telling his listeners to take a dump in the town, and then saying he might drive there to beat up every single one of the school board members.
Now, according to USA Today, Dakich is in a bind. Like a lot of other basketball fans, Dakich gambled on the NCAA Tournament. Also like a lot of basketball fans, he lost a lot of money.
Because of that, he’s now working as a Door Dash driver to “punish” himself for losing the money. He says he learned that his stepson was making around $25 an hour delivering for the company so since he’s preached the value of a dollar, he decided he should do that. He also says his wife called him an idiot for doing so.
To make things worse for him, Dakich says he doesn’t know if ESPN would be bringing him back next basketball season. He might be doing this for a while.
