Scamming seems to be at an all time high right now.
Even athletes are getting in on the scamming action.
According to Awesemo, United Soccer League’s Abdul Osumanu has been indicted on 2 counts of mail fraud, money laundering, two counts of wire fraud, money laundering, and a charge for a receipt of stolen money.
Osumanu who is the starting defender for Union Omaha, allegedly catfished two people out of $215,000. He was a group of 9 men that would catfish people under the guise of a romantic relationship so they can get the people to send them money. They allegedly were able to get over $2.5 million from around 200 people.
He probably won’t be catfishing anytime soon.
