It’s one thing to say somebody’s game is similar to the late Kobe Bryant.
However, in an interview with Richard Jefferson, Booker shut down the comparisons many like Stephen A. Smith has made to him and Bryant.
“I haven’t really thought about it much,” Booker stated. “I know it’s something that everybody is gonna ask right now, and I didn’t make that comparison myself. I just leave it at what he’s done for me as a mentor and the advice that he’s left me with, so I try to take bits and pieces of his mentality and approach, but I should never be compared to Kobe Bryant.”
Remember when we thought Adrien Broner was the next Floyd “Money” Mayweather or Ben Simmons the next LeBron James?
Booker is good but until he wins in a way he sees fit…then he’ll be considered great.
He’s not the next Kobe Bryant but rather the one and only Devin Booker.
