Florida rapper GlokkNine appeared in court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to identity theft and weapon charges.
GlokkNine like an idiot posted a message to his followers on Instagram with photos of the PPP loans applications which lead authorities to him.
The 21-year-old rapper, real name Jacquavius Smith, reportedly used the name, social security number, and address of a person only identified as “S.S.,” to obtain a PPP loan meant to aid struggling businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. GlokkNine shared an Instagram message to friends showing the loan application, which was intercepted by a wiretap by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Smith, 21 has a long rap sheet as a felon and is prohibited from having firearms, which led to felony possession charges, which he also pleaded guilty to on Tuesday. During an OCSO raid last month, authorities found a duffle bag with a loaded firearm and several rounds inside. He also had 13 “auto sears” which allow semiautomatic firearms to become automatic.
GlokkNine also pleaded guilty to possessing an unregistered firearm. The weapon that was found was a sawed-off semi-automatic rifle that police found in the garage of his grandparents’ home issued a search warrant.
