Blame Sha’Carri Richardson.
Richardson came in last in her first race since her weed suspension and while the Jamaican sprinters finished 1-2-3.
This had social media going nuts, especially after she said this.
“It was a great return back to the sport,” Richardson said in an NBC interview after Saturday’s race. “I wanted to be able to come and perform having a month off. … Not upset at myself at all. This is one race. I’m not done. You know what I’m capable of.
“Count me out if you want to. Talk all the s— you want, ’cause I’m here to stay. I’m not done. I’m the sixth-fastest woman in this game, ever. And can’t nobody ever take that from me. Congratulations to the winners. Congratulations to the people that won, but they’re not done seeing me yet. Period.”
Off-topic, and this is just my opinion. Unless you are a rapper, you shouldn’t be saying period.
I hope Sha’Carri comes back strong, but she needs to take some time right and fully get her head right. She is not ready at the moment to compete at the highest levels. The good news for her is the Jamaican runners are getting older, and she is still young, so don’t give up on her yet.
Mr. HumbleTeeJ was trying to make a point if you are going to talk sh*t, you have to be able to back it up.
He used Usain Bolt as an example, but people and the whole country of Jamaica took it all wrong.
Even Usain Bolt chimed in, and Mr. HumbleTeeJ is getting COOKED in the comments even though what he said wasn’t bad at all.
There is a small misunderstanding over semantics about being humble and being an entertainer.
However, you see, the jokes were indeed flying.
