Another race that draws the crowds is the Caulfield Cup. This cup is one of the key lead up races to the iconic Melbourne Cup. It is one of the more difficult handicap races held in Australia, with many competitors travelling to this race for this reason alone. However, this isn’t the only reason why competitors like this race; another reason is that they have the chance of winning $5 million in total prize money. Thanks to this, the Caulfield Cup is classed as the world’s richest mile.
