It is very clear that Urban Meyer cares more about how Jaguars players are reacting to him being caught with his fingers in the booty of Cayman, Nebraska, than his wife.
The first individuals he apologized to were his staff and team. I think he even apologized to the City of Jacksonville before a reporter asked if he apologized to his wife. Shelley, who was babysitting the grandkids while Urban was at the bar, is just liking tweets from people saying she can do better than Urban.
That likely isn’t true, to be honest, add to the fact she is MAGA and has spoken against black players who kneel against racism and police brutality means I won’t be shedding any tears for her.
They asked Urban if he was concerned about the state of his marriage, and here is what he said.
He also expects his marriage to survive the turmoil.
“I believe so, and that’s obviously, it’s very personal,” he said. “I don’t want to get into our personal life, but 37 years we’ve been together, and it’s been awesome, man. And this speed bump’s not going to get in the way of that.”
Essentially he is saying after 37 years, what is the point of getting a divorce? She has been Shelley Meyer for so long, besides taking all his money, what would she do?
Urban seems a lot more concerned that he doesn’t get fired with cause because that would mean he doesn’t get his money. Meanwhile, not enough people talk about how he knows the young blonde grinding on him. He and Cayman Nebraska have a bit of a history together that we outlined here.
This doesn’t seem like a random meeting. If I had to guess, when Urban was invited to this gathering, he knew she would be there.
It still makes me wonder if he wanted to get caught, or he just doesn’t care anymore.
