Damontae Kazee was celebrating a little too much after the Cowboys beat the Patriots in overtime.
Instead of just going home and enjoying his bye week, Kazee decided to celebrate, which is fine, but don’t get behind the wheel.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but such a dumb decision for a player that could be seen as disposable even as a starter.
TMZ Sports has the police report.
Dallas Cowboys player Damontae Kazee’s bye week has gotten off to a brutal start … the defensive back was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drunk driving.
According to reports, Kazee was stopped in The Colony, Texas at around 3 AM over a traffic violation when cops say the NFLer had shown signs he had been drinking.
A spokesperson for The Colony police dept. Told The Dallas Morning News Kazee then admitted to an officer he had consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel.
Kazee allegedly failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DWI, which is a Class B misdemeanor.
He is out of jail now after posting a $2500 bail.
No word from Jerry Jones or Mike McCarthy about the arrest.
Seeing that it is a DUI, I don’t expect much to happen in regard to punishment while the Cowboys are in pursuit of a Super Bowl.
If Dak went Aaron Hernandez, I think Jerry Jones would find a way to make it go away, and when I tell you Jerry could make it go away, I am not lying to you.
Jerry can make bodies disappear.
With that being said, please be safe out there because you don’t want to lose your life, and more importantly, you don’t want to take someone’s life because you were drinking and driving. They have Uber and Lyft for a reason.
