The Kansas City Chiefs players were caught by sideline mic claiming that Raiders quarterback Derek Carris is “scared” and “He’s just going to be throwing it up” following a sloppy throw that led to an interception by safety Daniel Sorensen.
This isn’t the first time Raiders QB Derek Carr is being accused of being scared.
Via Total Pro Sports:
Earlier in the year, Los Angeles Chargers pass rushing stud Joey Bosa accused the Raiders quarterback of getting “shook” and “curling into a ball” during L.A.’s 28-14 week 4 win over Vegas. Carr was sacked four times and took seven hits in that contest.
Fast forward to week 10, and there was another division rival who was questioning Carr’s toughness.
Carr was in the midst of a career season, however, he and the Raiders have started to slide as of late. Prior to their 41-14 beatdown at the hands of the Chiefs, Vegas was handed a their third loss of the season by the lowly New York Giants in week 9, 26-16.
Derek Carr really has to up his game and prove his toughness to some of these players accusing him of being scared during games.
Derek Carr threw two TD passes but also had his third interception in the past two weeks as the offense struggled to get going.
The Raiders were held to 82 yards in the first half, their fewest in a home game in eight years, and went 1 for 9 on third downs to fall down double digits in the first half for the fifth time this season.
“We got in a hole and against this team that’s hard,” Carr said. “They just play soft coverage. They get a big lead, play soft coverage, blitz here and there and make you throw in front. It’s a hard way to do it.”
